Ambers Antibodies has started the year right, raising $200,000 with help from the generous guests and sponsors of our annual event, Sporting For a Cure.

“We are so humbled by the generosity of our community,” Amber Antibodies Board Member Matt Langlois says.

More than 250 people attended the tailgate-style fundraiser, held on Saturday, Jan. 26.

Guests enjoyed catered comfort food, drinks, and an exciting relay game-style tournament in a fun, relaxed setting, with a dress code of casual sports attire.

Zeke, one of our grant recipients , highlighted the evening when he took the stage.

“There was not a dry eye in the room as this 7-year-old, who has been battling brain cancer since he was 4, told his cancer story,” Langlois says.

Zeke was turning 8 the day after the event. After his speech, the room erupted into a Happy Birthday sing-along.

“It was a magical moment for all of us to witness Zeke’s strength firsthand,” Langlois says.

A very special thank you to all who attended 2019 Sporting For a Cure, and to our sponsors—Stock Development, Noble Title & Trust, Coleman Yovanovich Koester, and Naples Transportation & Tours—for making it possible.

Through continued community support, Amber’s Antibodies is able to provide grants to local families who are fighting cancer and fund clinical trials for cancer research in hopes of finding a cure.

Amber’s Antibodies is a 100 percent volunteer-run organization with 13 board members and numerous volunteers. To learn more about our efforts, visit our About page
