Florida State Sen. Kathleen Passidomo Joins Amber’s Antibodies’ 14th Annual Sporting For a Cure
Amber’s Antibodies’ 14th annual Sporting For a Cure event just got more exciting with the attendance of special guest Florida State Sen. Kathleen Passidomo.
Passidomo is the Florida Senate Majority Leader and has represented the 28th District, which includes Collier, Hendry, and part of Lee County, since 2016.
Passidomo exemplifies leadership in the community, committing herself to important issues like lower taxes, fraud protection, community safety and public health. “She has spent her career giving back to the community and is a woman of distinction, having served and been recognized by more than 50 community organizations” Amber’s Antibodies’ Board Member Matt Langlois says. “Amber’s Antibodies is so fortunate to have Sen. Passidomo with us supporting our efforts to make a true difference for our local families suffering from the horrific cancer disease.”
Sporting For a Cure will be held on January 25, 2020 at The Club at Olde Cypress in Naples. It is Amber’s Antibodies’ most anticipated fundraiser of the year. Guests don jeans and their favorite sports team’s jersey or casual sports attire and are treated to a tailgate-style catered dinner. There is also a chance to join the Not-So-Olympic-Relay Tournament, with fun games like flip cup and corn hole. A raffle and live auction is also included in the evening.
Sporting For a Cure benefits Amber’s Antibodies, a 100% volunteer-based nonprofit organization that financially supports local Southwest families fighting cancer through their Grant Program. In addition, Amber’s Antibodies donates to research institutions in an effort to find a cure for cancer through its research arm.
“When asked to be our special guest, Sen. Passidomo didn’t hesitate for a moment to help Amber’s Antibodies to assist local families in need in our community,” Langlois says.
The fundraiser sold out in 2018 and 2019 with 250 people each year, raising more than $350,000 in all. So far in 2019, Amber’s Antibodies has granted more than $93,000 to more than 42 families and donated $30,000 to cancer research and clinical trials. Visit Amber’s Antibodies at www.ambersantibodies.com for tickets to Sporting For a Cure. This event will sell out so advance ticket purchase required.
The Bad Santa Trolley Hop is Amber’s Antibodies’ next fundraising event, held Dec. 6. Tickets will be on sale soon.
